iConnect is born from the love and passion Gladys (the founder) has
for aviation and STEAM focused subjects and her keen interest in
aviation development, promoting the benefits of the industry and
inspiring and engaging the next generation leaders. She has created
a platform that aims to inform young people about Aviation related
careers while they are still young. She is a firm believer in living your
dreams and in the power of Mentorship and collaboration.
Through our outreach programs we have reached over 1000 students from 2018-2019, created online
based mentorship chat groups with female role models, partnered with other organisations from
South Africa to launch online programs hosted by Women in Aviation International and Embry
Riddle Aeronautical. Have launched a few interview videos accessible on our page on Youtube. We
have been featured and invited to speak about our work on international platforms such as Aviation
Development Hub and GARS African Workshop.
